I am just a pilgrim passing through

This world is not my home, I am just a pilgrim passing through.
I am a stranger in a distant land, a vagabond with no place to rest my head

I am neither received nor my voice heard, yet soon I will be nearing the shore of the land of promise where I can at last truly be home.
Home sweet Home I will sing, a land where righteousness and justice do ring.

It is that distant Land's hope that keeps me going and uplifts my spirit while traveling through these earthly lands whose citizens delight in sin and corruption.

It is that distant Land's shining beacon of hope that encourages me to walk the pathway of righteousness and purity.

Brethren, we are citizens of God's Holy Kingdom and its hope has the power to purify our lives and hearts.
